On the nose of mocha milk chocolate and raspberry, with more boysenberry over time. Palate has nice concentration with cranberry and boysenberry and a ripe savory center. Interesting acidity unifies the chocolaty tannins, developing more polish on the finish as it gets more bottle age.

2010- This deep ruby cabernet display aromas of ripe blackberries and black cherries with notes of fresh mint, cocoa, vanilla and nutmeg. Palate is well structured with supple tannins and a refreshing beam of .

2012- Aromas of black cherry, crème de cassis, dark chocolate and vanilla with bursts of fresh pine. The layered palate is packed with dark plum and sweet oak spice that linger to a long and pleasing finish.

Trapiche – Mendoza, Argentina 16,15                                                                               The nose offers up plum and black cherry notes with a touch of black pepper. The palate is soft and round with ripe, saturated berry flavors. Finishes spicy and full with chewy tannins.

A wine of structure, richness and complexity that is still down to earth, smooth and approachable. With an alluring crimson color, this wine draws you in with aromas of dark German chocolate, rich berries and fresh lavender. The nose conveys just the right amount of oak, making you think of a campfire in the woods, with an earthy scent in the air.


Dunham, Three Legged Red – Columbia Valley, WA 14                                             $42

This wine brings immediate appeal, with notes of blueberry, vanilla and baking spices. The palate is sweet and supple, with plentiful blue-fruit flavors that linger.


Hill Family, The Barrel – Napa, CA  14                                                                        $60

Deep black cherry and boysenberry fruit are under laid by spicy vanilla flavored oak. Fitting into the picture are raspberry, plum, licorice, and chocolate. The wine has a well-constructed young palate, with fruit crammed into the structure to form an intense ripe blackberry-boysenberry center.

Artezin – Mendocino County, CA 15                                                                              $42

Ruby red in color this wine is a concentration of bright cherry, pomegranate and boysenberry aromas  followed by darker notes of cassis and pepper. The palate is led by raspberry and currants with hints of baking spices and allspice. Well rounded mouthfeel with hints of toasty French oak on the finish.

Very balanced wine offers very round tannins and fresh berries aromas, with some floral and spicy flavors. Supple and seamless profile with kirsch and berry-styled fruit, licorice and spring flowers. Elegant, forward and delicious, it gains in stature in the glass, is ridiculously textured with loads of character. 


Chateau Haut – Beausejour – Bordeaux, St Estephe 11                                                  $75

On the nose, massive amounts of fruit aromas intermixed with very subtle spicy aromas, the sign of perfectly ripe grapes. Concentrated fruity flavors come through with lovely ripe tannins, and good body.


Shatter – Roussillon 13,14                                                                                               $45

Aromas of toasted French oak and brioche mingle with fresh cut strawberry and candied cherries. The mid palate brims with layered blackberry and savory essence of ripe pomegranate lending into a soft and lingering finish with just a touch of bright acidity.

Bergstrom, Gregory Ranch – OR 13, 14                                                                        $135

2013- A floral bouquet of roses and sweet purple violets, with notes of ripe fruit like cherries, strawberries and red candies. Dark earthy notes of mushrooms, oak spice, cola, sandalwood and citrus oils on the palette.

2014- Subtle aromas of walnuts, tea, cedar and berries follow through to a medium to full body, silky tannins and a fresh and clean finish.


Chalk Hill – Sonoma Coast, CA 12, 14                                                                          $60

2012-Fruit aromas of dark cherry, truffle, espresso, dried cherries and incense. The palate is bright and full of cherry cola fruit with vanilla and oak undertones and a wonderful velvety texture.

2014- Ruby in color and showcases strawberry, ripe cherry, oriental spice and toasty oak on the nose. Flavors of cherry cola, strawberry, and forest floor round out the palate with vanilla undertones and a bright acidity. The finish lingers with a velvety softness and notes of maraschino cherry and oriental spice. 


Cristom, Sommer’s Reserve – Willamette Valley, OR , 14,15                                      $66 a beautifully floral nose with orchid, pressed violets, lavender and brambleberries. Compact and medium-bodied this is lined by fine tannins and fresh acidity which brings things to an almond-like finish.

2013- “Old World” style Syrah, earthy and spicy, combined with “New World” fruit forward characteristics. This full-bodied wine has soft, silky tannins with aromas of blueberries, strawberries and a hint of mocha.

2015-  Full bodied wine that has firm upfront tannins, rich dark fruit flavors of black berries and blueberries with hints of smoky oak, black pepper and coffee.


Penfold’s, Thomas Hyland Adelaide – Australia 12                                                        $32

Aromas of ripe blackberry and cherry preserves plus hints of bacon, pepper, tree bark and cedar. Concentrated and taut on the medium-bodied palate, it has crisp acidity and a medium level of grainy tannins, finishing long.


Steele Writers Block – Lake County, CA 13                                                                   $35

The depth of the dark berry fruit and spicy finish distinguish this wine. The wines blended in are all traditional Rhone varieties and add complexity to the red fruit component of this wine, add some spiciness, and improve the overall balance. The use of French and Hungarian oak also gives this wine subtle tobacco and smoky notes.

Sauvignon Blanc

2016- aromas of Asian pear, honeydew melon and hints of lemon thyme and ginger. The palate bursts with star fruit, tangerine and apple pie mingling with notes of pithy lemon-peel and white tea
